New Doesn't Have to be Awkward! It's Easy to Roll Out a New Process with Our Top Tips

Share:

Your new process is finally ready to implement and you can’t wait to roll it out. Your team? Not so excited. Change is hard. New is uncomfortable. Just like your changing your golf swing, new things are going to feel awkward at first. So how do you help your team get past that awkward stage of doing things differently? At Business Made Simple we specialize in simplifying business systems with processes and automation. So of course I have a process for rolling out a new process! Here are my proven tips for helping your team move from awkward to a hole-in-one.

Tips for Rolling Out a New Process

  • Plan how and when you will communicate, train and implement
  • Include everyone impacted by the new process at their level of involvement
  • Talk about the Why

How will the new process benefit them, their teams and the company?

What problems will the new process solve?

  • Address any concerns about the new changes.
  • Use your promoters. Their enthusiasm will rub off on everyone else.
  • Recognize and prepare for that awkward stage

Remind everyone that it will feel different at first.

Be patient! It will take time to feel comfortable and get used to the new changes.

  • Incentivize with rewards and friendly competition.
  • Set dates for training, transition, implementation, and feedback.
  • Provide permanent training

Include links to documents and videos

Know what defines success in the new process and identify how to measure that success.

  • Share success with your team
